Safe Harbor Home Care is a specialty home care assistance company offering a variety of In-Home Care Services. Our San Diego based home care services are established during your no-cost assessment and home safety evaluation. Our clients receive a no obligation evaluation of their individual care needs and situation. We personalize your Service Plan to include needed tasks from the list of our core home care services.

At Safe Harbor Home Care, our goal is to help these seniors to stay at home. Home care has proven to increase health, morale and quality of life.

Unfortunately, most seniors find themselves struggling with various activities throughout the day. Here are a few signs that you or a loved one may be in need of home care services from Safe Harbor:

Non-Medical Services

Non-Medical home care services assist a client who, because of advanced age or physical or mental disability needs assistance with activities of daily living. These services allow the client to remain in their own residence and include, but are not limited to, assistance with the following:

  • Personal care
  • Assistance with activities of daily living [bathing, dressing, grooming, continence care, ambulation, etc.]
  • Meal planning, preparation, and feeding assistance
  • Medication reminders for self-administered medications
  • Light housekeeping
  • Companionship
  • Socialization
  • Sitter services
  • Respite care
  • Transportation to and from medical appointments
  • Stand-by assistance
  • Fall precaution and reduction
  • No minimum service hour requirements

These services are non-medical in nature and are delivered by qualified personnel and are sensitive to the unique needs of the client and community. These services do not require the supervision of a registered nurse and do not require a physician’s order. The tasks to be performed by Personal Care Attendants – Caregivers are non-medical in nature and do not require clinical judgment and may be performed by unlicensed individuals.
